You can use a wide variety of coloring products to color our Shrink-its! Shrink Art Kits. Markers, colored pencils, paint pens, and color-changing markers will all work great. As the charms shrink, the colors will become darker and richer, so getting a lot of color on before baking will produce the best results. Here are some of our favorite products to use.

How do I make Shrink-its! DIY Shrink Art?
Color
- Works best with markers and colored pencils.
- Color on the textured side of the charm.
- Colors will become darker after baking.
Bake
- Adult supervision is required.
- Preheat oven, or toaster oven to 320 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place your colored charms on top, with textured side facing up.
- Bake charms for 1-3 minutes.
- Charms will shrink up to 50%!
Make
- Wait for charms to completely cool down before handling.
- Loop ball chain to create a keychain.
- Cut desired length of cord to hang charms on backpacks, zipper pulls and more.
Tips
- The charms may curl as it's baking, this is normal, they will flatten out when done baking.
- The charms can be flattened with a spoon, or spatula immediately after baking.
