Create Your Own Personalized Pencil Pouch
I LOVE art supplies. I can't get enough of them. As you can see from my Instagram page, the only thing I love more than art supplies is rainbows. When it comes to taking my art supplies on the go, it's important for me to have a carrying case that's not too big or too small, but something just right. Something Goldilocks would approve of. I really didn't think such a case existed until I saw the OOLY Mighty Pouch. I can't believe how much I can fit into this expandable case. I'm often taking supplies on the go for both myself and my 6-year-old so this pouch works great for both of us. You can even fit a mini iPad inside! While I love the bright colors that the Mighty Pouch comes in, I thought it would be fun to create a personalized pencil pouch and make it more my own. Below are a few ways to personalize your own Mighty Pouch!

Materials:

  • Mighty Pouch - The pouch comes in pink, green, blue, and black.
  • Acrylic Paint - My favorite acrylic paint to use is the Martha Stewart brand.
  • Paint Brushes - I love the OOLY The Brush Works Paintbrush set because there are a variety of brush sizes.
  • Donut Patch - I used a patch that I found at Michaels Craft Store, but you can find something similar here and here.

Geometric Design Pouch - Add paint to create colorful designs.

The Mighty Pouch is a perfect canvas for painting your designs on top. I liked the idea of using simple triangles on top of the black pouch. Using my acrylic paints and my OOLY The Brush Works Paintbrush set, I painted the triangles one by one. You might want to add several coats of paint for a more opaque look. Sweet Donut Sprinkles Pouch - Add fun patches that match your personality

You can't go wrong with donuts and sprinkles. The great thing about adding patches to your pouch is that they can also be removed! Look for patches with a sticky back. And it’s easy to further add to your design with acrylic paint. For the donut pouch I created I added little paint sprinkles in different colors. If you want to keep things simple, consider filling the entire front of your pouch with fun, colorful patches that represent all the things that you love.
